Mahua Zahur is a Director of CLIP. She is an advocate, academic and legal researcher. She completed her LLB and LLM from University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. She pursued her specialized LLM in Intellectual Property from University of Turin, Italy as WIPO scholar. She has experience of teaching at university level. She taught in the School of Law of BRAC University and East West University. She also served as an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Land Management and Law of Jagannath University. She has published scholarly papers in the fields of IP. She has attended international conferences and presented scholarly papers. She has completed training and workshops on IP and teaching methodology. She also worked on international IP projects. She is particularly interested to explore through her research the inter-relationship of IP with other fields such as intangible cultural heritage and fashion, and branding. In her private capacity, she provides legal opinions and represents clients on the various matters of IP. She is enrolled as an advocate in Dhaka Bar Association.
